How much does a custom vinyl banner cost?
Vinyl banners are priced per square foot on a sliding scale: roughly $5.25/sq ft on small banners down to about $3.85/sq ft on large ones, with a $25 order minimum. Hemmed edges are always included. Grommets and pole pockets are small upcharges, and 15 oz is an optional upgrade over standard 13 oz.
| Standard material | 13 oz scrim vinyl |
|---|---|
| Upgrade | 15 oz heavy duty |
| Rate range | ~$5.25 to $3.85 per sq ft by size band |
| Minimum order | $25 |
| Included | Hemmed edges on all four sides |
How the price is built
- Multiply width by height in feet to get square footage.
- Apply the rate for that size band. Bigger banners get a lower per-square-foot rate.
- Add finishing: grommets every 2 feet, pole pockets top and bottom, or wind slits.
- Apply quantity discount, which improves through 50 units.
A 3 x 6 ft banner lands around $80. A 4 x 8 ft banner is roughly $130 at quantity one and drops meaningfully in bulk.
13 oz vs 15 oz
13 oz scrim vinyl is the industry standard and is right for the overwhelming majority of jobs: events, storefronts, real estate, sports fields, trade shows. 15 oz is heavier, more opaque and stands up better to sustained wind and multi-season outdoor mounting. Choose 15 oz for permanent installs and windy sites.
Finishing options explained
- Hemmed edges: a folded, welded border that stops fraying. Always included, never an upcharge.
- Grommets: metal eyelets for rope or zip ties, typically every 24 inches plus corners.
- Pole pockets: open sleeves top and bottom for a pole or dowel, used on street banners and backdrops.
- Wind slits: half-moon cuts that let air through on large outdoor banners in exposed locations.
Turnaround
Banners print and finish in 2 to 4 business days, then ship rolled in a tube. Rush is available.
