How do I plan stickers for an event or festival?
| Standard production | 5 to 7 business days |
|---|---|
| Rush production | 2 to 3 business days (+25%) |
| Express production | 1 to 2 business days (+50%, stickers) |
| Proof | Free digital proof before printing |
Work backward from the event date
Production time starts after you approve your proof, and shipping time comes after production. Build a timeline:
- Design ready. Finalize artwork and upload it.
- Proof approved. Every order gets a free digital proof. Approve it quickly; production waits for you.
- Production. Standard is 5 to 7 business days. Rush is 2 to 3 business days for +25%. Express is 1 to 2 business days for +50% on stickers.
- Shipping. Add transit time to your venue or office.
- Buffer. Add a few days so a late approval doesn't put the event at risk.
Business days don't include weekends or holidays, so count carefully when the event is on a Monday.
How many stickers to order
Start from expected attendance and decide who gets one: everyone at check-in, only visitors to your booth, or only people who sign up or buy. Giveaways at a busy booth go fast, so order for your realistic best case rather than the bare minimum. Leftover event stickers with your brand on them still work for mailing orders and future events, as long as the design doesn't include the date.
Make them do something
- QR code. Link to your signup page, menu, playlist or ticket page. Keep the code large enough to scan easily and test it before ordering.
- Hashtag or handle. Put your social handle on the sticker so photos tag you.
- Durable material. Waterproof laminated vinyl custom stickers survive outdoor festivals, water bottles and rain.
Order the rest of the booth at the same time
Most events also need a vinyl banner or retractable banner stand for the booth, yard signs for directions or parking, and name badges for staff. Note: if your order includes a custom vinyl banner, production is limited to standard or rush (no express), so plan banner orders earlier.
Event-day checklist
- Stickers split into a few stacks so they're easy to hand out
- A sample stuck on a laptop or bottle at the booth
- QR code tested on a phone at the venue
- Spare stock kept out of direct sun and rain
Related questions
- How far ahead should I order event stickers?
- Add your proof approval time, production (5 to 7 business days standard, 2 to 3 rush, 1 to 2 express for stickers) and shipping, then add a few days of buffer. Ordering two to three weeks ahead keeps standard production comfortable.
- Should event stickers include the date?
- Only if they are a keepsake for that one event. Leaving the date off lets you use leftovers at future events.
- Can I get a banner and stickers in the same order?
- Yes, but an order containing a custom vinyl banner is limited to standard or rush production. Express is not available for banners.
