How do I print oil change stickers?
Shops print oil change stickers two ways. A small thermal sticker printer at the counter prints the date and mileage for each car. Pre-printed custom stickers carry your logo, phone number and blank date and mileage lines for the tech to fill in. Many shops combine them: branded stickers for the windshield, plus a printer for the service details.
| Typical size | 2" × 2" or 2" × 3" |
|---|---|
| Usual spot | Top left of the windshield, inside |
| Must show | Shop name, phone, next service date and mileage |
| Nice to have | QR code to book the next oil change |
Option 1: an in-shop sticker printer
A small thermal printer at the counter prints the date, mileage and oil type for each car. It's quick and exact, but thermal labels are usually plain and can fade in the sun.
Option 2: pre-printed custom stickers
Pre-printed custom stickers carry your logo, phone number and blank lines for the next service date and mileage. They look like your brand, and the customer sees them every time they drive.
Using both
Plenty of shops order branded custom stickers with a clear back for the inside of the windshield, then add the service details on top. Customers remember the shop name, and the date stays accurate.
What to put on it
