What should I order for custom bumper stickers and car decals?
Bumper stickers and car decals should be printed on outdoor vinyl with UV laminate, which survives sun, rain and automatic car washes and is rated 5+ years outdoors. The classic bumper size is 3x10 or 4x8 inches. Apply to clean, dry paint or glass above 50F and press from the center out.

Material matters more than anything else
An unlaminated sticker on a rear bumper fades in a single summer and the edges lift at the first pressure wash. Everything we print gets a UV laminate over the ink, which is what carries the 5+ year outdoor rating and lets the sticker take a car wash.
Sizes that read
- Bumper: 3x10 in is the traditional shape; 4x8 in reads better if there is a logo as well as text.
- Rear window: 4x4 to 6x6 in. Anything smaller disappears at a stoplight.
- Door or tailgate branding for a work truck: order as a custom size decal, not a bumper sticker. Anything over roughly 12 inches belongs in the decal and vehicle graphics range.
Permanent or removable
Standard adhesive is permanent, which is what you want on a bumper. If the sticker goes on a leased vehicle or is meant for a season, ask for removable adhesive in the order notes: it holds firmly and lifts cleanly with heat for roughly two years.
Applying it so it lasts
- Wash and dry the panel, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol. Wax repels adhesive.
- Work above 50F. Cold glass and cold paint are the most common cause of a failed application.
- Position, tack the center, then squeegee outward to push the air to the edges.
- Wait 24 to 48 hours before a car wash so the adhesive reaches full bond.
