How is a custom sticker actually made, step by step?

Every order runs the same seven stations: artwork preflight, RIP and color management, print, cure, laminate, contour cut on an optical-registration cutter, then weed, inspect and pack. Nothing skips inspection, and anything that misses tolerance is reprinted before it ships rather than after you complain.

1. Preflight

A human opens your file. We check resolution at final size, color mode, bleed, safe margin and the cut path. If something will print badly, we tell you before we print it, not after.

2. RIP and color management

The raster image processor converts your artwork into ink instructions using an ICC profile built for the exact film and laminate combination. This is where a brand color either lands or does not, and it is why we profile per material instead of using one generic setting.

3. Print

11-color eco-solvent onto the selected film, with white underprint added first when the stock is clear or metallic.

4. Cure

The print rests so the solvent fully flashes off. Laminating too early traps solvent and causes hazing months later. This step is unglamorous and non-negotiable.

5. Laminate

The clear UV overlaminate is roller-applied under pressure, with the roller set to avoid trapping air. Gloss, matte or luster, your choice, same protection.

6. Contour cut

Optical registration cutters read printed marks and follow the cut path to about ±0.1 mm. Die-cut orders get cut through the vinyl and laminate but not the liner. Kiss-cut sheets get the same treatment with the sheet outline cut separately.

7. Weed, inspect, pack

Excess material is removed, every job is checked against the approved proof for color, registration and cut accuracy, and orders are packed flat with backing board so nothing arrives creased.

Where the time goes

Print and cut are fast. Preflight, curing and inspection are where the hours are, and they are also why reprint rates stay low.
