• Do you have to laminate an overlay decal?

  Laminate is not physically required, but any printed decal that lives outdoors, gets handled, or faces cleaning chemicals needs it. Unlaminated solvent-printed vinyl typically starts fading and scuffing within 6 to 12 months outdoors, while a laminated decal is rated 5+ years. Every Stickerine sticker ships laminated by default.

• What printing equipment does Stickerine use?

  Stickerine prints on 11-color Epson SureColor UltraChrome eco-solvent presses, runs white ink and rigid substrates on a Mimaki UV flatbed and roll-to-roll, laminates every job on a roll laminator, and contour cuts on Summa S-Class cutters with OPOS optical registration to ±0.1 mm, with a Kongsberg X24 CNC table for rigid and oversize work.

• What is the cheapest place to get custom stickers?

• Who prints the best quality custom stickers?

  Sticker quality comes down to four measurable things: the number of ink channels, the face stock, whether the print is laminated, and cut accuracy. Stickerine prints 11 inks instead of the industry-standard 4, on 3 mil cast and calendared vinyl, laminates every job free, and contour cuts to ±0.1 mm on Summa OPOS cutters.

• What is the difference between 11-color and 4-color CMYK sticker printing?

  Four-color CMYK mixes every color from cyan, magenta, yellow and black, which leaves saturated oranges, greens and violets out of reach and makes gradients band. Our 11-color Epson UltraChrome process adds dedicated orange, green and violet inks plus light cyan, light magenta and three black densities, so brand colors reproduce accurately and tonal transitions stay smooth.

• Why does laminate matter on a sticker, and why is it free here?

  Laminate is a clear UV-blocking film applied over the printed vinyl. It takes the abrasion, water, solvents and sunlight so the ink does not, which is what turns a one-season sticker into a 5+ year outdoor sticker. Stickerine includes gloss, matte or luster laminate on every order at no charge.

• Do custom stickers really last 5 years outdoors?

  Yes, with conditions. Laminated 3 mil vinyl carries a 5+ year outdoor rating, which means it resists UV fade, water, freeze-thaw and normal abrasion for that period in typical vertical outdoor exposure. Horizontal surfaces in extreme sun age faster; interior and shaded applications last considerably longer.

• How long does it actually take to make a custom sticker?

  Standard production is 3 to 5 business days from artwork approval. Prepress runs the same or next business day, printing takes minutes to a couple of hours depending on run length, laminate needs a short cure, contour cutting and hand weeding are the slowest manual stages, then QC and packing. Rush production compresses this to 1 to 2 business days.

• How does Stickerine compare to other custom sticker printers?

• What is sticker laminate and what does it actually do?

  Laminate is a clear protective film bonded over the printed vinyl after printing. It takes the UV, water, scuffing and chemical exposure that would otherwise attack the ink, and it is the single biggest reason a sticker survives outdoors. Every Stickerine sticker is laminated at no extra cost.

• What is the difference between cast and calendered vinyl?

  Cast vinyl is cast as a liquid and cured thin, so it has almost no built-in stress: it conforms to curves and rivets and holds up 7 to 10 years outdoors. Calendered vinyl is squeezed from a thicker sheet, costs less, and is excellent for flat or gently curved surfaces for about 5 years.

• How is a 5 year outdoor sticker rating actually measured?

  The rating comes from the film manufacturer's own testing: accelerated weathering chambers plus real vertical outdoor exposure panels in high-UV climates. It describes a vertically mounted, laminated graphic that has not been abraded. Horizontal, sun-facing surfaces age faster; shaded and indoor surfaces last far longer.

• What ink do you print stickers with?

  We print with 11-color Epson UltraChrome eco-solvent ink, which bites into the vinyl surface and cures rather than sitting on top like a toner or aqueous print. Rigid substrates run on a Mimaki UV flatbed that cures instantly under UV lamps. Both systems are pigment based, which is what resists fading.

• How is a custom sticker actually made, step by step?

  Every order runs the same seven stations: artwork preflight, RIP and color management, print, cure, laminate, contour cut on an optical-registration cutter, then weed, inspect and pack. Nothing skips inspection, and anything that misses tolerance is reprinted before it ships rather than after you complain.

• How accurate is your die-cut contour cutting?

  Our cutters use optical registration: they read printed marks on the sheet and correct for stretch and skew as they go, holding roughly ±0.1 mm on the contour. That is why die-cut shapes stay centered on long runs instead of drifting a millimeter more with every sticker.

• Can you match a Pantone or exact brand color?

  We match Pantone references closely using an 11-color ink set and per-material color profiles, and most brand colors land within a very tight visual match. We cannot reproduce metallics, neons and some deep saturated blues exactly, because those sit outside any printable gamut. Send the Pantone number and we will tell you before printing.

• What adhesive types do you offer and which should I pick?

  Our default is a permanent acrylic adhesive that reaches full bond in 24 to 72 hours and holds indefinitely. Removable adhesive peels cleanly for months to a couple of years. High-tack is for rough or low-energy surfaces like textured plastic and powder coat. Tell us the surface and we will pick.

• What surfaces do your stickers stick to?

  Vinyl stickers bond well to any clean, smooth, non-porous surface: glass, painted metal, hard plastics, laptops, powder-coated steel, sealed wood, and stainless tumblers. They do poorly on silicone, oily or waxed surfaces, raw untreated wood, fabric, and anything flexing constantly.

• Are your stickers dishwasher, freezer and engine bay safe?

  Laminated vinyl handles roughly -40°F to 175°F once cured, so freezers, cold chain shipping, dishwashers and car washes are all fine. Sustained direct heat above about 175°F, such as an engine block or an oven interior, is not. Top-rack dishwashing and hand washing both extend life.

• What is your quality control process and reprint policy?

  Every order is preflighted by a person before printing and inspected against the approved proof before packing, checking color, registration, cut accuracy and material. If we printed something wrong, we reprint it at no charge. If the supplied file was the problem, we tell you before printing rather than after.

• How big is your print facility and how much can you produce?

  Stickerine is operated by Name Badges, LLC, a printing company in business since 2008. We run a 30,000+ square foot production facility with 55+ employees across our Florida headquarters and Greenville, South Carolina operation, printing stickers, labels, banners and signage in house.
