What should I charge for stickers at my merch table?

Most artists sell a 3x3 in die-cut sticker for $3 to $5 and a 4x4 for $5 to $7 at a merch table. At Stickerine a 3x3 costs $0.40 each at 1,000 pieces and $0.49 at 500, so a $4 price point returns roughly 90% gross margin. Holographic adds 22% to cost and typically supports a $1 to $2 higher retail price.

What artists actually charge

  • 2in sticker: $2-$3
  • 3in sticker: $3-$5 (the standard artist alley price)
  • 4in sticker: $5-$7
  • Holographic or glitter of the same size: $1-$2 more
  • 3-sticker bundle: $10 is the classic bundle that lifts average order value

The margin math

A 3x3 at 500 pieces costs $0.49. Sell at $4 and you keep $3.51 per sticker, about 88% gross margin. That 500-piece run costs $245 and grosses $2,000 if it sells through. At 1,000 pieces the cost drops to $0.40 each, so the same $4 price returns 90%.

Practical advice for a weekend table

  • Print your two or three proven designs deep rather than ten designs shallow. Volume pricing is the biggest lever you have.
  • Bring change for $5 bills, or price at round numbers so card transactions stay simple.
  • Holographic sells. It carries a 22% cost increase and usually a 25-50% price increase.
  • Order at least three weeks before the con. Standard production is 3-5 business days plus transit; rush is available for 25% more.

Related questions

How many stickers should I bring to a convention?
A common planning number for a first artist alley table is 50 to 100 pieces per design across three to five designs. Track sell-through per design and print the winners deeper next time.
Is holographic worth the upcharge for merch?
Usually yes. Holographic film adds 22% to your Stickerine cost but most artists price it $1-$2 above their standard stickers, so the margin per unit goes up, not down.
